Established in 1967, Underwriters Agency of New England was first organized to provide agents of the Vermont based Cooperative Fire Insurance Association additional markets of insurance to compliment their products.

For over 30 years, our reputation throughout the industry - professionalism, honesty, integrity and profitable risk analysis, is rewarded with express underwriting authority. The agency is made up of four departments; which are all cross-trained and can assist your every need. Our personnel are all involved in professional industry organizations and continuing education courses.

Underwriters Agency derives its income from commissions, contingency bonuses, and central placement revenues. The agency shares its commissions with its producers. As such, we rely heavily on contingency bonuses. To this end, we strive to maintain profitable growth, with excellent loss ratio results. We underwrite all new business thoroughly, to verify that it not only meets our carriers' guidelines, but our own standards.

Underwriters Agency developed and is the managing general agent of a national Farm Operations Workers' Compensation program underwritten through Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.

Our mission includes expansion of our standard and specialty insurance products throughout the United States. It's our feeling that we can utilize our extensive experience and expertise with products to expand our writings for a more productive and profitable future.
